We are the first team in CNWL that has been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatry. Then HTT team at Northwick Park Hospital might just have what you’re looking for.

Location - Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow

The position would require for you to be a driver

Based on the outskirts of London, Harrow is surrounded by beautiful parks and greenery where our staff can take advantage of the more peaceful areas. With buses taking you right outside our office and parking available in the surrounding areas, travelling to work has never been easier!

Main duties of the job

Nursing, turning lives around and improving patient's wellbeing, the reasons you looked to become a Nurse.

We will empower you to work innovatively, showing a commitment to providing compassionate care and a strong desire to improve patient care.

In addition to this we want to offer you;

  • Coaching and development sessions including; motivational training, Physical health training, CBT, ECG and venepuncture training all demonstrating a commitment to career mapping to ensure continuous professional development.
  • On-site shadowing for you with our services during the first two weeks so that you can get a feel of all the areas and what they do to participate in the wellbeing of our patients. This includes Psychiatric liaison etc.
  • Hidden Gem, annual award ceremonies and award-winning Staff Networks that have thousands of members and exciting events.

To be an active member of the integrated HTT multidisciplinary team and provide individually tailored care packages for adults of working age, and their families/carers, who have severe and enduring mental illness.

To work in a therapeutic, client-centred way and use a range of evidence-based interventions to help promote recovery through individual or joint working with other professionals.

Education And Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • RMN/Diploma/Degree
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • RMN / OT / Social Work – Professional Registration

Desirable criteria

  • Mentorship qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience as a Band 6 clinician in an acute or community setting.

Skills and knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Effective communication skills both verbally and through written reports.
  • Ability to assess complex risk and produce care plans to manage this
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to take responsibility for managing a caseload
  • Ability to manage complex decision making situations.
  • Ability to organize and prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to supervise junior staff and students
  • Teaching and assessing skills
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful and emotionally charged situations
  • Able to manage personal stress.
  • Previous experience of audit and research.

  • Expertise in particular skills and evidence of how you developed them and use them in your current role
