Techspire Consulting is growing its UK team and is looking for an experienced HCM and Payroll Test Lead who can also take ownership of Payroll Parallel Run activity.
The role covers two key areas. You will lead UAT across the HCM and EPM landscape before taking responsibility for Payroll Parallel Run cycles and the reconciliation of legacy and new payroll outputs.
Key responsibilities
HCM and Payroll UAT
- Leading UAT across Core HR, Absence, Payroll, OTL, Recruitment, Talent, Learning and EPM/WFP
- Managing test planning, execution, defects, retesting and sign-off
- Coordinating business testers, functional consultants and technical teams
- Ensuring end-to-end employee and payroll processes are fully tested
- Reporting clearly on readiness, risks and unresolved issues

Payroll Parallel Run
- Owning payroll parallel run planning and execution
- Reconciling legacy and new payroll outputs at employee, pay-element and control-total level
- Investigating variances and driving issues through to resolution
- Defining payroll acceptance criteria and tolerance levels
- Maintaining clear records of reconciliations, decisions and outstanding issues
- Providing a clear recommendation on payroll readiness for go-live

- Proven experience leading Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll UAT
- Strong hands-on experience with payroll parallel runs and reconciliation
- Strong understanding of Core HR, Absence, Payroll and OTL
- Experience across Recruitment, Talent, Learning or EPM/WFP is highly desirable
- High attention to detail, particularly when investigating payroll variances and validating outputs
- Takes full ownership of testing and payroll readiness activities
- Able to work independently, coordinate multiple teams and drive issues through to resolution
