The Vacancy
Are you passionate about shaping the future of Health and Social Care professionals in Higher Education? DN Colleges Group is seeking an experienced and motivated HE Programme Leader Health and Social Care to lead and deliver our BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care top-up programme across University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL) and University Campus Doncaster (UCDon).
This is an exciting opportunity to combine programme leadership, teaching and student support within a growing Higher Education environment. You will play a key role in ensuring an outstanding student experience, maintaining high academic standards and driving continuous improvement across the programme. Working closely with colleagues, university partners and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of innovative learning opportunities and help strengthen our Higher Education provision.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in social work and/or health, alongside a commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
This is a Group role and you will be expected to travel between both sites- Doncaster and Scunthorpe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum planning and development within the programme area.
- Manage and coordinate the BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care programme, ensuring its smooth and effective operation.
- Lead programme team meetings and relevant departmental committees.
- Produce annual programme reports and analyse student achievement and performance data.
- Deliver high-quality Higher Education teaching and assessment.
- Provide personal academic support and tutoring to students.
- Support programme timetabling and resource planning.
- Contribute to quality assurance and quality enhancement activities.
- Maintain effective relationships with university partners, external examiners and industry stakeholders.
- Support student recruitment, induction, engagement and promotional activities.
- Participate in examination boards, subject-based committees and scholarly activity.

- Degree in a relevant Health and Social Care-related subject.
- Extensive experience within the Health and Social Care sector.
- Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of leading programmes within Higher Education.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement and student success.

- In DN Colleges we call this role HE Programme Leader Health and Social Care but you might know this as Health and Social Care Programme Leader, Higher Education Health and Social Care Lecturer, Health and Social Care Course Leader, HE Health and Social Care Tutor, Health and Social Care Academic Lead.
- We are not looking for agency support for this role.

- If this role qualifies for the Teacher Pension Scheme and this would be your first teaching role, two years' service must be completed before pension benefits are added to your teacher pension record.

Additional Information
- Teaching Qualifications: Applicants are not required to hold a teaching qualification at the point of appointment. However, they must be willing to work towards and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment. This qualification must then be maintained through ongoing CPD. At DN Colleges Group, a recognised teaching qualification is defined as Level 5 or above.
