HE Student Engagement & Compliance Officer

This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
In this role you will be:
- Working within the Higher Education (HE) Directorate; the post holder will be responsible for continually enhancing the experience of HE students by engaging them as partners in their learning, and acting on their suggestions for improvements.
- The role also requires quality monitoring and audit of key documents to ensure students have access to the information required for success.
- In addition, the post holder will support enrichment activities and promoting volunteering opportunities to support University Centre Weston's approach to Educational Gain.

Key duties:
- Representing the student body on key committees and supporting student representatives to undertake this role as required by the management team, maintaining an independent student voice at these bodies.
- To act on behalf of students in the development and review of the policies, procedures and processes which contribute to educational enhancement and quality assurance as directed.
- Ensuring the College is compliant with the Office for Students (OfS) expectations regarding Student Engagement, and to further develop areas of good practice.
- Implementing the UCW Student Engagement Strategy, reviewing its effectiveness, ensuring all students, on all modes of study, have a voice through student representation and that Student Staff Liaison Committees take place.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Highly motivated, setting and achieving high standards for yourself.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills; the ability to plan ahead and manage multiple deadlines to prioritise workloads and respond to planned and ad-hoc demands.
- Computer Literacy including use of Access Databases and Excel Spreadsheets.
