At Cornish Bakery, our purpose is to nourish people. As Head Barista, you’ll lead our coffee standards, develop the team and help create a warm, welcoming bakery at the heart of its local community.
Are you passionate about exceptional coffee and excited to inspire others? We’re looking for a Head Barista who can share their knowledge, coach with confidence and make every cup—and every customer experience—brilliant.
As a Head Barista you will:
- Train and coach the team to serve the World’s Best Coffee perfectly and consistently
- Lead by example on the coffee machine, delivering exceptional drinks and warm customer service
- Dial in and fine-tune the espresso machine and grinder to achieve the perfect extraction
- Maintain excellent coffee quality, presentation, cleanliness and equipment care
- Build colleagues’ confidence and knowledge through hands-on coaching and feedback
- Prepare our award-winning food and uphold high standards throughout the bakery
- Support the Management Team with the smooth day-to-day running of the bakery
- Be part of a Team who strive to Aim Higher at all times

Skills and qualities that we need from you:
- Strong barista skills and a genuine passion for high-quality coffee
- Experience using and adjusting commercial espresso machines and grinders
- The confidence and patience to train, coach and inspire others
- A customer-first approach and pride in delivering consistently high standards
- A positive, dependable and solutions-focused attitude
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work brilliantly as part of a team
- A commitment to quality, teamwork and high standards
