Location: London
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day kitchen operation across busy workplace catering, retail, hospitality and event services.
- Deliver consistently high-quality food across breakfast, lunch, hospitality and events, including high-volume services.
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team, bringing in additional support when required.
- Plan and deliver a variety of food offers, including staff dining, buffets, events, bowl food, finger food and plated dining.
- Develop creative, seasonal and rotational menus that meet customer and client expectations.
- Manage food ordering, stock, labour, food costs and budgets, ensuring strong commercial performance.
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation and customer experience.
- Work closely with the Catering Manager and wider hospitality team to deliver meetings, functions and events successfully.
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, health & safety and compliance.
- Remain hands-on in the kitchen, while effectively planning and organising busy and changing service demands.

Our Ideal Candidate
- An experienced Head Chef or strong senior chef with a background in workplace catering, hospitality, events or another high-volume food operation.
- Confident leading busy breakfast, lunch, hospitality and event services.
- Experience managing high-volume catering and multiple food offers would be highly desirable.
- A strong people leader who can motivate, develop and organise a kitchen team.
- Creative and confident with menu development, including seasonal, rotational and event menus.
- Commercially aware, with a good understanding of food costs, stock, labour and budget management.
- Passionate about delivering great food, presentation and service.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
- Hands-on, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.
- Comfortable working closely with operational and hospitality teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with premium or fine dining would be an advantage but is not essential.
