Job Title: Head Chef

Location: Boundary Outlet, Colne

Hours: 40 hours per week working 5 days out of 7

Boundary Outlet is a destination for shoppers who value quality and great experiences. Our in-store cafés and restaurants provide delicious food and exceptional service, making every visit memorable. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our team and support the leadership of Bannister's Restaurant's kitchen operations.

Role Overview:

You will work alongside our current Head Chef, playing a pivotal role in overseeing food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities include leading and coaching the kitchen team, enforcing food hygiene and safety, maintaining equipment and inventory, and upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and support the kitchen team to ensure effective daily operations.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyse customer feedback striving for a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies to minimise waste and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Train, develop, and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best.
  • Work in collaboration with the Front of House team to ensure excellence in customer dining experiences.
  • Handle any kitchen-related issues, including equipment maintenance and problem-solving.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a senior chef role.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • A comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
