Head Chef – Prestigious Central London Venue

Location: Central London

Working hours: 5 out 7 – 6am until 3pm, some evening hospitality

Salary: £50,000 per annum, OT taken as TOIL

We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen at a prestigious Central London events and hospitality venue. The venue hosts a varied programme of formal dinners, corporate events, private functions, conferences, receptions and banqueting.

The Role

You will lead the kitchen operation, creating and delivering high-quality food while managing the team, costs and day-to-day kitchen standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the kitchen team
  • Creating seasonal and bespoke menus
  • Delivering food across events and banqueting
  • Production planning and kitchen organisation
  • Food costing, purchasing, stock and waste control
  • Maintaining excellent food quality and presentation
  • Managing food safety, allergens and due diligence
  • Coordinating additional chefs for larger events
  • Working closely with the events, operations and front-of-house teams

About You

We are looking for a confident, hands-on chef with experience in events, banqueting, hotels, contract catering or premium hospitality. You will be creative, highly organised and commercially aware, with strong leadership skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Head Chef looking to take ownership of a high-profile Central London venue and play a key role in developing its food offering.
