Head Chef Required, North Wales– High-Volume Fresh Food Destination Pub

We're looking for an experienced, organised, and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at one of North Wales' busiest fresh food destination pubs.

This is an immediate start with a minimum 8-week summer contract, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef looking for a rewarding seasonal role.

The Venue

This is a thriving destination pub serving high-quality, fresh food all day. During peak season you'll be catering for busy tourists, holidaymakers, and day-trippers, producing over 300 covers per day in a fast-paced but well-organised kitchen.

The Role

As Head Chef, you'll lead from the front by:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team
  • Creating exciting seasonal menus and seafood specials using fresh local produce
  • Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation
  • Managing stock, ordering, GP, and kitchen costs
  • Organising rotas and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy service
  • Working closely with the owners to continue driving the food offering forward
  • Ensuring food is served efficiently throughout all-day service

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a busy fresh food environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly organised with excellent time management
  • Calm under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
  • Passion for creating seasonal seafood and fresh food specials
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and allergen management
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
  • A strong focus on health and safety, consistently achieving and maintaining 5-star Scores on the Doors standards
