Lead the kitchen at one of Spellbrook's most iconic country pubs
If you're a passionate Head Chef who loves creating great food, developing a strong kitchen team and taking pride in every plate that leaves the pass, we'd love to hear from you.
The Three Horseshoes in Spellbrook is no ordinary pub. This beautiful thatched country pub and former coaching inn dates back to at least the 16th century and sits close to the River Stort. With bags of character, a loyal customer base and the charm you'd expect from a traditional Chef & Brewer pub, it's a brilliant place to build your next chapter.
We're looking for a Head Chef who can take ownership of the kitchen, inspire their team and help us deliver the quality food and warm hospitality that our guests come back for.
Job Description
What you'll be doing
- You'll take the lead in our kitchen, making sure every service runs smoothly and every dish leaves the kitchen to the standard our customers expect.
- You'll be responsible for leading, coaching and developing your kitchen team, creating a positive environment where people can learn, grow and perform at their best.
- You'll take ownership of food quality, kitchen standards, stock control and costs, while making sure we consistently deliver great pub food.
- You'll work closely with the General Manager and wider pub team, bringing ideas to the table and helping drive the overall success of the business.
- And when things get busy, you'll be the calm, confident leader your team can rely on.

Qualifications
What we're looking for
- We're looking for an experienced Chef who is ready to take ownership of a kitchen and make their mark.
- You'll have experience leading a kitchen team and be confident running a busy service.
- You'll care about quality and consistency, have a good understanding of kitchen costs and standards, and know how to get the best from the people around you.
- Most importantly, you'll have a real passion for food and hospitality. You'll take pride in what you do and understand that great food is at the heart of a great pub experience.
