Head Chef - Bring the Heat to Fodder

Lead a growing kitchen. Champion Yorkshire produce. Create food people come back for.

Fodder - the Great Yorkshire Food Hall is on the lookout for a talented, hands-on Head Chef with the energy, ideas and drive to take our kitchen into its next exciting chapter.

This is not just another Head Chef role. It's a chance to lead a busy, ambitious kitchen, shape a growing cafe offer and put the very best Yorkshire food and drink at the heart of every menu. We are looking for someone to lead from the front, raise standards, and bring the team with them.

The opportunity

As Head Chef, you'll run the day-to-day kitchen operation, create consistently excellent Yorkshire dishes, and lead a team that is proud of what it produces. You'll work closely with the Catering Manager to develop seasonal menus, support events, manage food and labour costs, reduce waste, and keep service running smoothly - all while maintaining excellent food safety, allergen, and hygiene standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
