Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

More importantly, you will be a people person as well as a great chef.

You will understand that running a successful kitchen is about more than cooking. It is about developing people, controlling costs, planning ahead, setting standards and creating a team that performs when the pressure is on.

You will be comfortable with fresh food, busy services and high-volume trading, with a good commercial understanding of GP, stock and labour.

You will also have the confidence to put your own stamp on the kitchen while delivering the quality and consistency our guests expect.

The Place

The Bridge Inn is a proper local with personality, a historic inn where strangers and friends are equally welcome.

The food reflects that. Big flavours, quality ingredients and dishes people genuinely want to eat, whether that is a relaxed midweek lunch, a great steak, Sunday roast or dinner with friends.

We need a Head Chef who understands that balance, great pub food, delivered really well, by a happy and well-led kitchen team.

If that sounds like your kind of kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
