Hotel Head Chef
We're recruiting a Hotel Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen at a luxury boutique hotel in London's West End. It's a busy, creative corner of the city, with theatres, shops, popular squares and independent places to eat and drink all a short walk away. No two rooms in the hotel are the same, each one the work of a renowned interior designer, and design, service and food drive everything the hotel does.
The hotel belongs to a respected, family-run luxury group that operates several hotels and private residences, alongside restaurants, bars and spas. Its recognition includes multiple Michelin Keys, a Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Award, a "Best Hotels in London" listing from a leading fashion title, and three consecutive years as one of the UK's Best Places to Work.
You'll build and develop the team, run the kitchen day to day and make sure every guest leaves impressed. That means writing seasonal menus around quality produce, keeping cooking and presentation to the highest standard, and managing the budget, ordering and stock, with food safety and hygiene firmly under control.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
