Located in Bristol, close to Bristol Zoo, Clifton Suspension Bridge and Cabot Circus, Winter Stream Farm is a busy, family-friendly pub with a great mix of local customers and visitors.
With a fantastic food offer, a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of customer occasions throughout the week, we're looking for someone who can bring the passion, put in the effort and grow with us.
Job Description

Winter Stream Farm is all about great food, great value and great family experiences.
Our menu features customer favourites including carveries, succulent steaks and traditional fish & chips, alongside dedicated children's dishes and delicious cakes baked in-house.
There's plenty happening outside the kitchen too, with a fully stocked bar, beer garden, weekly offers, free Wi-Fi, on-site parking and EV charging.
It's a pub where families, friends and local customers can enjoy a great meal and a relaxed experience — and the kitchen plays a huge part in making that happen.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn, develop their skills and make a real contribution to the kitchen team.
🚀 What’s the opportunity?
As Kitchen Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working alongside the team to deliver great food and consistently high standards.
You’ll:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen and lead from the front.
- Support, coach and develop the kitchen team, helping everyone perform at their best.
- Maintain consistently high standards across food quality, presentation and service.
- Make sure the kitchen is organised and prepared for every service.
- Ensure dishes are prepared and served consistently and to the required standards.
- Learn and develop your knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety and commercial performance.
- Support with stock takes, ordering, stock rotation and wastage.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Ensure allergen controls and kitchen compliance are followed correctly.
- Work closely with the General Manager and wider management team.
- Help prepare the kitchen for busy weekends, family occasions and key trading periods.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
- Help create a positive kitchen culture where everyone works together and supports each other.
- Bring energy, enthusiasm and new ideas to the kitchen.
- Get stuck in during busy services and lead by example.

- Takes pride in delivering great-quality food.

- Is confident communicating with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
