Job Description

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head Chef will lead the kitchen team in delivering high quality food and memorable dining experiences for our guests. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, commercially minded chef who enjoys working in a fast paced city centre hotel and takes pride in developing seasonal menus, leading a successful team and consistently delivering excellent food and service.

  • Lead the daily operations of the kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, consistency, and service excellence.
  • Support menu development and culinary innovation while maintaining Novotel brand standards and incorporating local influences.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop chefs and colleagues through effective leadership, training, and mentorship.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor food preparation, production, and service standards across all culinary outlets.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and support effective procurement practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a senior commercial kitchen role
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands on approach
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
