Head Chef - AC Hotel by Marriott Inverness

Salary up to £45k

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen at the AC Hotel by Marriott in Inverness, in charge of the kitchen brigade of Beira, finalist of Scottish hotel awards 2026 in the best hotel restaurant category.

Beira is an informal restaurant that prides itself on sourcing ingredients from within a 50-mile radius, supporting local farmers and producers, and both delivering the freshest, highest-quality flavours, and being a true part of the local community.

The kitchen brigade ensures daily delivery of breakfast in line with AC by Marriott brand standards, and all-day contemporary Scottish x tapas style dining at Beira. Head chef is responsible for ordering and stock control, running kitchen service, and relevant food quality, safety and standards. This is a creative role, with head chef in the driving seat when it comes to menu offering, pricing, seasonality.

Our ideal candidate

  • A great leader, and a good team player – this role is a hotel head of department
  • Has a real passion for food made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Is creative, flexible, and up to date with the food trends and products

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English, and with unrestricted right to work in UK
  • Must have prior senior chef experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to use MS Office suite, and business appropriate (ordering, HR, brand) platforms
