At Prezzo Italian, we’re looking for a high-energy Head Chef, to lead the kitchen with purpose.
You’ll be at the heart of our restaurant, leading your kitchen team and serving the Italian food our guests know and love. Think freshly prepared pasta, pizza and Italian favourites, delivered consistently and with pride.
What You’ll Want To Know
Great pay + tronc
Earn £15.45–£17.51 per hour, plus tronc. Our Chef Accreditation Scheme recognises great food standards and gives you the opportunity to earn more as you raise the bar.
Work that works for you
- Contracted hours are 48 per week across 5 days.
- You’ll lead our restaurant team and in conjunction with your General Manager be responsible for your kitchen rota.
- We understand the importance of achieving a healthy work/life balance and we aim to issue shifts in advance so that you can plan life around work.
- We also have a cool app where you can view schedules and drop, swap and give shifts.
You’ll have regular hours at your ‘home restaurant’ plus ability to pick up additional hours through working at other Prezzo locations.

The role
As Head Chef, you’ll have real ownership of your kitchen. You’ll lead from the front, develop a brilliant team and work closely with your General Manager to make your restaurant a success.
From delivering consistently great food and maintaining excellent kitchen standards to managing stock, waste and costs, you’ll make sure your kitchen performs at its best - while creating a place where your team enjoys coming to work.

What You’ll Bring
- Kitchen leadership – Experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
- Commercial know-how – You understand stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs and know how to run an efficient operation.
- Great standards – You care about food quality, consistency, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
- People skills – You’re a positive, hands-on leader who enjoys coaching people and building a strong kitchen team.
- Pride in every plate – You understand that a great guest experience starts in the kitchen.
