Head Chef

Location: JLR Castle Bromwich

Salary: £35,015 per annum

Hours: Monday–Friday

Contract: Full-time

About The Role

Eurest is looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our team at JLR Castle Bromwich.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day kitchen operation, leading a small team and ensuring we deliver high-quality, innovative food that exceeds customer and client expectations.

You'll combine strong culinary skills with commercial awareness, ensuring excellent food standards while managing costs, stock, food safety and overall kitchen performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small kitchen team, supporting their performance, development and progression.
  • Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistently high standards of quality, presentation and taste.
  • Maintain full compliance with food safety, allergen and health & safety legislation and company standards.
  • Manage stock control, stocktaking, ordering and waste management.
  • Develop innovative menus and food offers that meet customer and client expectations.
  • Monitor financial performance, including food costs and gross profit targets.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the site's hospitality and visitor centre offering.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive dining experience for customers and guests.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and kitchen organisation.
  • Stay up to date with current culinary trends and bring new ideas and innovation to the food offer.

About You

We're looking for a genuine foodie who is passionate about creating great food and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You'll Ideally Have

  • Previous experience working as a Head Chef or Senior Chef.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • A good understanding of food safety, allergen management and relevant legislation.
  • Experience managing stock, ordering, waste and food costs.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of financial targets.
  • A passion for food innovation and current culinary trends.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.
  • A genuine passion for food, quality and customer service.
