Head Chef

Location: Clevedon

Salary: £31,574 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What You'll Be Doing

As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional food experience while leading and inspiring your kitchen team. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, develop seasonal menus and ensure every dish is prepared to the highest standards.


Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
  • Producing fresh, high-quality food with a focus on presentation and taste
  • Planning menus and introducing exciting food concepts
  • Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships
  • Controlling food costs and minimising waste
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • Coaching, developing and motivating your team
  • Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting hospitality and special events when required
  • Driving continuous improvements in food quality, service and operational performance

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and strong leadership to the kitchen.

You'll Ideally Have

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume catering environment
  • A genuine passion for fresh food and food innovation
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing successful teams
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience managing food costs, budgets and stock control
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation
  • The ability to thrive in a busy environment while maintaining exceptional standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
