Head Chef
The Black Dog, Vauxhall
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at The Black Dog. You will be responsible for maintaining high food standards, managing kitchen operations, controlling costs, and developing a motivated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop the kitchen team.
- Deliver consistently high-quality food and service.
- Manage stock, ordering, and food GP.
- Create seasonal specials and contribute to menu development.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen rotas and labour costs.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional kitchen environment.

About You
- Previous Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a busy pub or restaurant.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen management.
- Commercially aware with experience managing food costs and stock.
- Passionate about great food and hospitality.
