HEAD CHEF

Bracelet Bay, Mumbles

We’re looking for an exceptional Head Chef to take the lead in the kitchen at Rok.

Perched above Bracelet Bay with incredible views across the coast, Rok is a restaurant with a big personality, a brilliant location and a real focus on great food.

We’re looking for someone who gets excited about food, takes pride in every plate leaving the kitchen and knows how to bring the best out of a team. You’ll have the freedom to lead your kitchen, develop your people and work closely with our wider food and operations team to keep evolving what we do at Rok.

What you'll be doing

As Head Chef, you’ll take full ownership of the day to day running of the Rok kitchen.

  • You’ll lead from the front, setting the standard for food quality, presentation and consistency while building a kitchen culture that is organised, positive and enjoyable to work in.
  • You’ll develop and motivate your team and make sure everyone understands the standards we’re working towards.
  • You’ll have a good knowledge food costs and GP to labour, ordering, stock and waste, you’ll understand that running a great kitchen is as much about the commercial side as it is about the food.
  • You’ll work closely with the General Manager and our Head of Food and Drink, with plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas and influence the direction of the food at Rok.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
