Role Description
Summit Special are recruiting an experienced Chef for their luxury property, Chalet Hôtel Blythe, located in Les Gets in the heart of the Portes du Soleil region. Chalet Hôtel Blythe accommodates 16 – 20 people and boasts an indoor pool and Spa area.
Our Chef will have full responsibility for the catering service in the chalet and will be supported by a Chalet manager and a team of 6 Chalet Hosts. Our aim at Summit Special is to create a memorable holiday for our guests and their dining experience will be one of the highlights of that stay. A competitive salary package is offered and is negotiable dependent on experience.

Main Role and Responsibilities
- Tailored menu designing and planning for each group of guests
- Preparation of breakfast, canapés and a four course evening meal
- Catering for all guest’s special dietary requirements
- Catering for children’s meals (including earlier meal sitting when required)
- Staff meals
- Maintaining food hygiene, general health & safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Maintaining the kitchen and ensuring that it remains clean, tidy and presentable at all times
- Oversight and management of chalet food budgets

Minimum Requirements
- Recognised catering qualification or extensive experience
- Previous luxury catering experience is essential. Chalet catering experience is desirable.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Conversational French is desirable but not essential
- Excellent spoken English
- Full and clean Driving licence

- Proactive, work well under pressure with the ability to listen to clients requirements

- Self motivated and highly organised
Applicants Must Have a:
- EU Passport or French Carte De Séjour
- UK Passport holders must be able to secure a French work visa (assistance will be given in this process)
