Head Chef at Rivervale Barn, exclusive use wedding and events venue GU46 7SS
Head Chef - £48,000 per annum + annual bonus + hourly overtime
Start date - August 2026
Artemis are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Rivervale Barn in Yately, Hampshire, GU46 7SS.
The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to kitchen management, demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A genuine passion for producing high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients is essential.

- 2 years’ experience in a similar position and used to providing for 100+ covers using fresh ingredients together with a strong background in food led establishments.
- A passion for cooking.
- A proven track record, with good references to support your CV.
- Kitchen management and communication skills. Be confident in Food safety management, ordering, stock takes and Planning rotas (company laptop provided).
- Own transport is essential due to the location.
- Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
What will my responsibilities include?
- Day to day management of your venue kitchen. From food preparation and service to ensuring high standards of cleanliness are kept.
- To follow our allergens policy and kitchen management package. (Full training given).
- Managing your kitchen team, rota planning and holidays.
- Daily ordering from suppliers, monthly stock takes.
- Working within our food and staffing budgets to maintain financial standards.
- Reporting regularly to the Group Executive Head Chef, day to day report to the General Manager. Responding to emails.
- Management of Checkit (full training given).
