Head Chef, Archway Battersea

Reports To: Executive Chef

About Archway

Archway is an Italian restaurant in Battersea, listed in the Michelin Guide, with a quarterly changing menu built around the seasons and the finest produce we can find. With live-fire cooking, a wood-fired oven and an intimate chef’s counter, the restaurant offers a diverse range of ways to cook, create and engage with our guests. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef to take ownership of the kitchen, develop a distinctive food offering and make the most of a space designed to encourage experimentation, personality and exceptional hospitality.

Job Overview

We're looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Archway. You'll lead on menu development, bringing real creativity to the pass, with room to grow.

We're looking for candidates who have real ambition for where their career is going — chefs who think about Michelin recognition as a natural horizon, who are genuinely excited by seasonal British produce, and who are as comfortable talking GP and labour cost as they are talking flavour.

From time to time there will be scope to expand the events side of the restaurant, and support the events side of the wider business, alongside our sister catering business, working with clients like Prada, Hermès and Gagosian

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
