Head Chef – New Opening – 60k plus 10k bonus

An exceptional opportunity for a Head Chef to lead the opening of a flagship site for a premium restaurant group in London, delivering high-volume, quality-led all-day dining with 100% fresh food.

The Role

We are seeking a Head Chef to lead the opening of a flagship site for a leading London restaurant group. This high-profile role involves managing a brigade of 20-25 chefs in a 250-cover restaurant across two floors. The focus is on execution, team leadership, and operational delivery, with support from the Executive Chef on menu development. This role would suit a Head Chef from a high-volume, branded restaurant background who understands the pressures of a new opening.

The Restaurant

  • Expected to be one of the biggest and busiest sites in the group.
  • Open kitchen.
  • 7 days a week – breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Food-led site.
  • Multiple menus – feasting, set menus, events, canapé, brunch.

The Head Chef Role

  • Lead the kitchen team of 20-25 chefs across all sections.
  • Ensure consistent execution of a high-quality, seasonal menu.
  • Manage ordering, stock control, food safety, and compliance.
  • Drive team development, training, and performance.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and Senior Operations Manager on operational delivery.
  • Contribute to menu development where input is welcome.

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume, branded restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience with new openings and the pressures they bring.
  • Ability to follow and execute recipes to a high standard.
  • Commercial awareness with P&L, cost control, and labour management.
  • Calm, organised, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
