This role will support the Executive Chef & Kitchen team in overseeing the delivery of high quality Food/ Catering and service across all events held in the Number 7 Restaurant at Celtic Park, on both a match day and non-match day.

Key Accountabilities Will Include

  • Act as Head Chef for the Number 7 Restaurant on match days and designated events.
  • Support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in the operational management of hospitality services.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of all match day and event catering operations.
  • Lead team briefings on service requirements, food presentation, allergens, cooking techniques, and service standards.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Adhere to all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitisation, and hygiene across hospitality areas.
  • Monitor and record food temperatures in line with food safety requirements.
  • Lead the efficient cleaning and breakdown of kitchen areas following service.
  • Work effectively to meet operational deadlines and maintain safe working practices.
  • Support the Executive Chef in creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Recognise and celebrate team and individual achievements.
  • Work alongside HR to support colleague wellbeing and maintain open communication.
  • Ensure fair allocation of duties and responsibilities across the catering team.
  • Promote colleague health and wellbeing in all tasks, processes, and communications.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships across all Club departments.
  • Complete all required food safety documentation accurately and on time.
  • Act as the first point of contact for restaurant staff queries and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Essential

  • Food Safety Level 2
  • At least 3 years' experience working within a similar role (preferably within stadia)
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team using a hands-on approach, while always leading by example
  • Effective menu creation and planning
  • Prepare, cook and deliver to a high standard, in line with customer expectations and experience
  • A good understanding of food allergens and labelling
  • A good understanding of all kitchen procedures, food safety paperwork and recording wastage
  • Experienced in identifying and implementing creative solutions
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written
  • Proven people management skills
  • Strong coaching skills, with a proven record of developing staff
  • Extensive experience working in a busy, pressurised environment
  • A flexible approach to working, with an ability to facilitate change
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and an effective communicator to motivate a high-performing team
  • Task-orientated and proactive, with the ability to plan effectively
  • Ability to manage and work as part of a team, using initiative
  • Able to problem-solve and prioritise own and other staff members' workloads
  • Empathetic and approachable, with excellent listening and judgement skills
  • To have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work with discretion and maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times
  • Time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in a pressurised environment while working to deadlines
