Head Chef

PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join our client's team.

Position: Head Chef

Pay Rate: GBP18 Per Hour + Holiday Pay

Location: Oldbury

The Candidate MUST Hold a Valid DBS

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and ensure a high standard of food preparation, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis
  • Plan and oversee food preparation and service
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and compliant with regulations
  • Support and train junior members of the kitchen team
  • Monitor food costs and minimise waste
  • Work closely with management to deliver an excellent service

  • Previous experience working as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Reliable, organised, and professional

Hours: 9am - 3pm

Days: Saturday and Sunday
