Role Description
This full-time, on-site role in Greater London covers Head Chef, Senior Chef de Partie, and Chef de Partie positions, depending on experience. The successful candidate will oversee or contribute to daily food preparation, cooking, and plating of authentic French dishes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. The role involves working closely with front-of-house teams, training and supporting junior kitchen staff, and helping to deliver an efficient service during busy shifts. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings, is required.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in professional kitchens, ideally in French or European cuisine, with previous responsibility as Head Chef, Senior Chef de Partie, or Chef de Partie.
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating, with a focus on high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations, with relevant certifications preferred.
- Ability to manage or support kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and efficient use of ingredients to reduce waste.
- Skilled in leading or collaborating within a kitchen team, including training, mentoring, and effective communication with colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to perform under pressure during peak service times.
- Passion for authentic, homemade cooking and an interest in French culinary traditions.
- Right to work in the UK; formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience is a must.
