Head Chef (Kitchen Manager) – The White Barn, Cuddington

The White Barn is a welcoming pub restaurant in the heart of Cuddington, where families and friends gather.

About the Role
As a Head Chef, you’ll lead the kitchen smoothly during busy periods, guiding your team to maintain the highest standards in service quality, presentation, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Drive kitchen operations, making key decisions and fostering a supportive team environment.
- Train, develop, and motivate your team to exceed targets and deliver consistently high performance.
- Customer Service & Quality
- Ensure all dishes meet rigorous standards in taste, presentation, and timely delivery.
- Communicate clearly with staff to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Safety & Compliance
- Uphold hygiene regulations and health & safety protocols to protect both staff and guests.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving
- Stay composed under pressure—balancing fast-paced shifts with creativity to optimise kitchen workflows.
- Continuously assess and adapt kitchen processes to improve efficiency.

Requirements
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…
- Have proven experience managing busy kitchens, including staff training, performance management, and operational leadership.
- Excel under high-pressure environments, keeping morale high while meeting deadlines.
- Prof Atélect a keel eye for culinary excellence, ensuring dishes are both tasty and visually appealing.
- Care about team growth and are proactive in addressing challenges.
Desired Qualifications
- Service-focused mindset: Prioritising customer satisfaction without compromising service speed.
- Strong communication skills: Bridging gaps between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Certifications: Food hygiene/safety qualifications are ideal but not always mandatory.
