Head Chef – Modern British Brasserie
Location: North West London
Salary: £60,000–£65,000 + Benefits
Position: Full-time | Permanent
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and commercially minded Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a vibrant and stylish modern British brasserie in North West London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Head Chef who combines strong culinary skills with excellent leadership and a genuine passion for seasonal British cooking. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the kitchen, working closely with the senior management team to develop a fresh, appealing food offering while maintaining consistently high standards across every service.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall running of the kitchen, from menu development and supplier relationships through to team leadership, food quality, and financial performance.
You will:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a professional kitchen brigade.
- Create and deliver modern British menus using high-quality, seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Take responsibility for kitchen operations, including ordering, stock control, and GP.
- Manage food costs, labour, and waste effectively.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
- Work closely with the General Manager and wider management team to drive the success of the restaurant.
- Build a positive, professional, and well-organized kitchen culture.
- Ensure the kitchen delivers an excellent experience throughout busy lunch, dinner, and weekend services.

About You
We are looking for a confident and inspiring Head Chef with proven experience in a high-quality modern British restaurant, brasserie, gastro pub, or similar busy hospitality environment.
You will be:
- A strong and supportive leader who knows how to get the best from a team.
- Passionate about British produce, seasonality, and modern cooking.
- Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of GP, labour, and kitchen costs.
- Calm and organized under pressure.
- Hands-on, creative, and passionate about maintaining high standards.
- Experienced in managing a busy kitchen and developing a strong brigade.
- Comfortable taking ownership of menus and the overall culinary direction of the business.
