Head Coach, Pods at FITTHIS

Hackney, E8.
£40,000 to £45,000.
Applications close 18 Sep 2026.
Start autumn 2026.

This winter we launch Pods: small group personal training, six members per pod, every member on their own written programme. Three pods run side by side on the same workout, one coach to each. Sessions run compound, accessory and conditioning phases, with a warm-up and cool-down shared across the room.

You coach your own pod like the other two coaches do. What makes this the head coach role is what happens off the floor. Every day you meet the coaches on your shift and go through the members in their pods: what they saw, what moved, what stalled. That feedback is what you write from. Every member's next block is yours to write, not just the six in front of you, and you'll have time in the week protected for it.

This is a builder's job, and we'll be honest about the stakes because they're also the sell: this model stands or falls on its head coach. You'll write the programming system, design the member assessment, compose the pods, and train and sign off a team of three pod coaches. The standard is yours to set: you are not inheriting someone else's method, you'll build the one this club runs on, for launch in December and a second site to follow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we care about, in order:

  • You've coached small groups to individually written programmes. Six people training together on six different plans is not a class, and you know the difference from experience, not theory.

  • You write programming in advance, per person. Every member's session exists on paper before they walk in.

  • You've made other coaches better. You'll have three reporting to you from day one, and the club's quality is whatever you can teach. We're looking for a builder at heart: a coach whose best work ends up on paper and in other coaches, not just in their own sessions.

Years in the industry matter less to us than those three things. What does matter is evidence. We want a coach whose members demonstrably get stronger and stay: real progressions, real retention, numbers you tracked yourself. Every member here trains to a written programme and logs their results, so a head coach who measures by habit will feel at home.

The practical bit, please read it before applying.

The club runs 06:30 to 20:30 on weekdays plus Saturday mornings. You'll work 40 hours on an early or late shift, with time protected for programming and the daily coach meeting. You need to be living within easy reach of Hackney. We will ask about this in the first conversation.

We are also appointing pod coaches at £35,000 in the same round. Tell us if you'd like to be considered for either.

The company opens a second studio on the Kent coast in 2027. This role is where its coaching culture gets built.

To apply,

Send nancy@fit-this.com a CV, one programme you've written for a real client together with the results it produced, and a short note on how you'd run six people at once.
