Location: Clevedon, North Somerset, England

Competition: Somerset County Women's League

Position Type: Part-Time

About the Club

Clevedon Town FC is an ambitious and inclusive football club committed to developing female players and creating a positive, player-centred environment. As our women's section continues to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Women's Reserve Team Head Coach to lead our reserve squad competing in the Somerset County Women's League.

This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about player development, team culture, and helping bridge the pathway between grassroots and senior football.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering training sessions, matchday support, and supporting the ongoing development of players within the women's pathway.

  • Lead and manage the Women's Reserve Team in league and cup competitions.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, structured, and age-appropriate training sessions.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Support the development of individual players and facilitate progression within the club's women's programme.
  • Support matchday preparation, squad selection, and tactical planning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Women's First Team staff and club committee.
  • Maintain high standards of player welfare, safeguarding, and conduct.
  • Assist with player recruitment and retention where required.
  • Ensure compliance with FA regulations and club policies.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a minimum FA Introduction to Coaching Football qualification (UEFA C Licence desirable).
  • Has experience coaching women's, girls, or adult grassroots football.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Is passionate about developing players and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Can commit to weekly training sessions and weekend fixtures throughout the season.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding qualifications.
