Company Description

Lead the Fitness Experience at Everlast Gyms

At Everlast Gyms, we're committed to helping our members achieve more. As Head Coach, you'll be at the heart of that mission, leading the fitness experience within your club and inspiring both members and colleagues to perform at their best.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines fitness expertise, coaching, people development, and commercial performance. You'll take ownership of the club's fitness product, lead a team of Fitness Coaches and Personal Trainers, and play a key role in driving member engagement, retention, and results.

Working closely with the General Manager, you'll be responsible for creating an exceptional fitness culture that motivates members, develops talent, and delivers outstanding business performance.

Job Description

The Role

As Head Coach, you'll be the fitness leader within your club, responsible for maintaining exceptional standards across coaching, programming, member engagement, and commercial performance.

You'll lead from the front, delivering outstanding fitness experiences while developing a high-performing team that consistently exceeds expectations.

Fitness Leadership

  • Act as the club's fitness ambassador, championing Everlast Gyms' standards and culture
  • Lead and oversee core fitness products including MOVE, REDEFINE, Personal Training, and Group Training
  • Drive participation, engagement, and member results through innovative programming and coaching initiatives
  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the club's fitness offering
  • Stay current with industry trends and bring new ideas that enhance the member experience

Team Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop Fitness Coaches and Personal Trainers
  • Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
  • Build confidence and capability across the fitness team
  • Create a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement
  • Lead by example through professionalism, energy, and expertise

Member Experience

  • Deliver exceptional Personal Training and Group Training sessions
  • Support member onboarding through the MOVE programme
  • Build strong relationships with members to drive engagement and retention
  • Lead fitness events, challenges, and in-club initiatives
  • Create an energetic and welcoming training environment

Commercial Performance

  • Drive revenue growth across Personal Training, REDEFINE, memberships, and secondary spend
  • Support member acquisition and retention strategies
  • Monitor fitness KPIs and team performance metrics
  • Maximise participation across all fitness products and services
  • Identify opportunities to grow fitness revenue and member engagement

Operational Excellence

  • Manage group training timetables and fitness schedules
  • Support operational standards across the gym floor and fitness areas
  • Ensure fitness products are delivered consistently and safely
  • Maintain exceptional standards of presentation and professionalism throughout the club

Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification
  • CIMSPA Practitioner Status
  • Proven experience delivering Personal Training and Group Training
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability
  • Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of fitness business performance
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays

Desirable

  • Experience leading or mentoring fitness teams
  • Experience managing fitness programmes or group training products
  • Understanding of member retention and engagement strategies
  • Knowledge of emerging fitness trends and industry innovations
