An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Head Coach to join a premium boutique fitness business. This is a leadership role that combines exceptional coaching with operational oversight, team development and member experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining high coaching standards, driving member retention and creating a consistent, community-led experience while supporting the business through its next phase of growth.

The Company: The company is an established multi-discipline fitness business with a strong community-focused culture and a loyal membership base. It delivers a premium training experience through small group coaching, progressive strength programming, reformer pilates and personalised member support. With ambitious growth plans, the business is investing in its people to ensure exceptional standards and a scalable operating model.

The Basics:

  • Salary: £36k + discretionary quarterly bonus
  • Location: South East London
  • Hours: Full-time (10-15 hours coaching, 15-20 hours leadership)
  • Reporting to: The founders
  • Subsidised Reformer/Pilates training: At least 12 months into service

This is an opportunity for an experienced coach looking to take the next step into studio leadership. The Head Coach will become the operational heartbeat of the studio, leading the coaching team, championing member experience and ensuring the day-to-day operation runs smoothly. Working closely with the leadership team, they will help build a high-performing coaching culture while allowing the wider business to focus on future expansion.

The Role: The Head Coach will divide their time between delivering high-quality coaching sessions and leading the operational performance of the studio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering outstanding coaching and maintaining a visible presence within the studio.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the coaching team to ensure consistent delivery and high standards.
  • Overseeing programming implementation and ensuring coaching quality across all sessions.
  • Managing coach scheduling, studio standards and day-to-day operational excellence.
  • Driving member engagement, retention and the overall customer experience through proactive communication and relationship building.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance each member's journey through personalised recommendations and progression.
  • Monitoring equipment, studio presentation and health and safety standards.
  • Organising and supporting with community events, member initiatives and collaborative projects with the wider team.
  • Using member feedback and performance data to continually improve the coaching experience.

The Person: The ideal candidate will be an experienced coach with strong leadership potential and a genuine passion for building communities through fitness. They will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience coaching within a boutique fitness or premium training environment.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing coaching teams.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional member experiences and building long-term relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and operational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how coaching contributes to member retention and business performance.
  • A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused mindset.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, personal development and helping others succeed.
