Aquarius Golf Club - London - South East

Established in 1912, Aquarius Golf Club is a private 9-hole golf club close to the heart of London. Built on top and around Beechcroft reservoir in Honor Oak, it presents a unique challenge for golfers with stunning views across the London skyline. An increasing interest in playing Golf at Aquarius has seen a rapidly developing membership. The club committee is delighted to offer the opportunity for a qualified greenkeeper to lead the small greens team and enhance the golfing experience for members and their guests.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the General Manager and join a small dedicated staff team, along with a team of volunteers. We are seeking an experienced greenkeeper to focus on maintaining and developing the course for our members and their guests.

The Candidate

You will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 and the post is offered on a full-time or part-time basis (3 days a week). Due to the nature of the position, you must be available for early starts and some weekend cover.

Remuneration

We offer a competitive and negotiable salary pro-rata for p/t) and benefits package commensurate with the applicant's knowledge, skills and experience, along with opportunities for training and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the presentation of the golf course, clubhouse and surrounding areas.
  • Supporting the General Manager to enhance the members' experience on the golf course and promote sustainability.
  • Cutting and treatment of greens, fairways and rough using ride-on and other mowers to a high standard.
  • Maintaining specialised machinery used for course maintenance ensuring that all health and safety protocols are adhered to.

Key Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Maintenance
  • PA1 and PA2 spraying certification
  • Good Communicator
  • Friendly disposition
  • Keen eye for detail
