Lead housekeeping at one of Scotland's most distinctive luxury properties.

Set within a magnificent Highland mansion overlooking Loch Leven, Glencoe House delivers an intimate luxury experience built on exceptional standards, thoughtful service and meticulous attention to detail. We're looking for a Head Housekeeper who takes pride in creating outstanding guest experiences, leading a high-performing team and ensuring every suite is presented to the highest possible standard.

The Role

As Head Housekeeper, you will lead all housekeeping and laundry operations at Glencoe House, ensuring guest suites, public areas and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the exceptional standards expected of a luxury Highland retreat.

Working closely with the House Manager and Head Chef, you'll be responsible for leading and developing the housekeeping team, maintaining outstanding cleanliness standards, managing stock and linen control, and ensuring the department operates efficiently and effectively.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the operation while taking ownership of team performance, productivity and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop the housekeeping and laundry team
  • Ensure guest suites and public areas are maintained to exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain room readiness for arrivals
  • Create and manage team rotas to support operational requirements
  • Oversee stock control for linen, amenities, cleaning products and consumables
  • Monitor departmental productivity and support performance targets
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and training within the department
  • Work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH, health & safety and company procedures
  • Respond to guest feedback and drive continuous improvement in standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Head Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping supervisory role
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Knowledge of housekeeping health & safety and COSHH procedures
  • A hands-on, positive leadership style
  • Luxury or boutique hotel experience would be advantageous
