The Opportunity
Global Highland are currently looking for an experienced and hands-on Head Housekeeper to join our client and their team in Fort Augustus.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong housekeeping experience who enjoys leading a team, maintaining high standards, and supporting staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping operation and ensuring that consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, supporting and motivating the housekeeping team.
- Creating and managing housekeeping rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Carrying out regular room inspections and ensuring standards are consistently maintained.
- Providing constructive feedback to team members and addressing any performance or standards issues.
- Delivering and rolling out training for housekeeping staff, including new starters.
- Ensuring housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards are followed.
- Organising daily housekeeping tasks and prioritising workloads.
- Working closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Leading by example and being prepared to assist with housekeeping duties when required.

Requirements
Essential
- Has previous experience as a Head Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor, or in a similar senior housekeeping role.
- Is confident managing and motivating a team.
- Has experience creating and managing staff rotas.
- Is confident carrying out room inspections and maintaining high standards.
- Is comfortable giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Has experience training and developing housekeeping staff.
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Has a professional and positive approach to both guests and colleagues.
- Is happy to be hands-on when required.

What's On Offer
- Annual salary depending on experience £26,000-£28,000, 35 hours per week.
- Live-in accommodation provided at no additional charge.
- Immediate start available.
- Contract initially running until the end of March 2027, potential opportunity to extend for the following summer season.
- The opportunity to take a lead role within a friendly and hardworking hospitality team.
