We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping team and play a key role in delivering the high standards our guests expect from Hilton.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established Head Housekeeper, or an experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Working Pattern
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 5 days out of 7.
As hospitality is a 24/7 operation, flexibility is essential. Your working pattern will be across Monday to Sunday and will include a mixture of day and evening shifts, weekends and Bank/Public Holidays, depending on the needs of the business.

The Role
As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Housekeeping department. You will lead, motivate and develop your team while ensuring our bedrooms and public areas consistently meet Hilton's standards.
Working closely with the hotel's senior leadership and operational teams, you will ensure the department is well organised, appropriately resourced and focused on delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading, motivating and developing the Housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Ensuring bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house areas meet Hilton's cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Planning daily operations and deploying the team effectively according to occupancy and business requirements.
- Managing departmental rotas, productivity and labour costs.
- Recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and developing team members.
- Carrying out regular room and public-area inspections and addressing standards promptly.
- Managing performance, attendance and conduct effectively and fairly.
- Creating a positive working environment where team members feel valued, supported and accountable.
- Working collaboratively with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to resolve guest and operational issues.
- Managing linen, amenities, equipment and departmental stock effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and all relevant hotel policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to continuously improve standards, productivity and the overall guest experience.
Essential Criteria
What we're looking for
To Be Considered For This Position, You Must
- Have previous experience as a Head Housekeeper within a hotel environment OR a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Deputy/Assistant Head Housekeeper.
- Have significant experience leading and managing a housekeeping team within a busy hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of housekeeping operations, room standards and quality control.
- Have proven experience of managing rotas, staffing levels and departmental productivity.
- Be able to lead, motivate, coach and develop a diverse team.
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively within a fast-paced operation.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering high standards.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across departments.
- Be confident managing performance and addressing operational issues when standards are not being achieved.
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements within a housekeeping environment.
- Be comfortable using hotel systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Have the flexibility to meet the operational requirements of the hotel

- Have previous experience working within a recognised international hotel brand, ideally Hilton or a comparable full-service hotel brand.
- Have experience working within a branded hotel environment, with a strong understanding of brand standards, quality assurance and guest experience expectations.
- Have experience managing a Housekeeping department within a high-volume, full-service hotel.
- Have previous experience of Hilton systems, standards and ways of working.
- Demonstrate a track record of improving housekeeping standards, team performance and guest satisfaction.
- Have experience supporting or preparing for brand quality audits or inspections.
- Previous Hilton experience would be advantageous but is not essential
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
