Head Housekeeper
Job Title: Head Housekeeper
Reporting to: Bursar
Tenure: Full time - 37.5 hrs per week
Salary: £33,000 - £36,000
Start Date: As soon as possible
Application Deadline: 31 July 2026

The Role
The core purpose of the role is to ensure that the fabric, fittings and furniture of the inside of the school are clean and, where applicable, tidy at all times. The school needs to be clean and tidy for operational, educational, marketing and health and safety reasons. All work undertaken should be of a high standard thereby positively adding to the overall impression of the school from staff, parents, pupils and visitors alike.

As a core member of the school non-teaching staff the Head Housekeeper will also be asked to undertake a wide variety of tasks. The Head Housekeeper will achieve the majority of the results of the role through the management of the team of housekeepers.
The Head Housekeeper will be the key point of contact for all housekeeping matters and so will have day to day working relationships with all School departments. The Head Housekeeper will also have relationships with external suppliers and customers.
