Head of Academy
Kingston Park Academy is seeking to appoint a Head of Academy to join the academy on a full-time, permanent basis. The expected start date is January 2027, although, subject to the needs of the academy, the appointment may commence from Easter 2027.
As a Head of Academy, you will be responsible for all aspects of the internal organisation, professional leadership, management, and control of the academy and for leading supervision over teaching and support staff.
Are you looking for a role that will enable you to influence and give direction to the children in your classes? Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
Your new school
Kingston Park is a single-form entry primary school catering for pupils from 3 - 11 years. Situated in a small village, the school is friendly and welcoming and takes pride in its role at the heart of the community. Our children are curious about the world and their place in it and we at Kingston Park endeavour to make their enthusiasm for learning the key driver behind our evolving book-led curriculum model. All our staff are passionate about providing the best education for every child in our community and in achieving our mission: to prepare all our pupils for success in an ever-changing world. We pride ourselves on the high levels of academic standards that our children reach, but also the responsible young citizens they develop into during their time with us.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
