Working with UK university partners, FSB delivers industry-relevant programmes to a diverse student community, including many learners taking non-traditional routes into higher education.

Widening participation and equality of opportunity are central to our mission. We are seeking an exceptional Head of Admissions to lead and shape this critical area of the School, combining strong leadership, regulatory awareness and analytical capability with a commitment to excellent applicant experience.

Job Purpose

The Head of Admissions is responsible for the strategic leadership, management and continuous improvement of the Admissions function at FSB. The postholder will ensure a high-quality, efficient, fair and compliant admissions service, delivering an excellent applicant experience while maintaining academic standards and admissions integrity.

The role will lead the Admissions Team, develop admissions strategy, monitor and analyse performance, maintain effective relationships with university and academic partners, support widening participation and Access and Participation objectives, and ensure compliance with FSB policies, partner requirements and relevant Office for Students (OfS) regulatory requirements.

Strategic Leadership and Performance

  • Develop and implement FSB's admissions strategy in alignment with institutional objectives, recruitment plans and academic priorities.
  • Develop annual and intake-specific admissions plans, KPIs and performance targets, including application and enrolment forecasts.

Admissions Management and Standards

  • Lead and manage the Admissions function and oversee the applicant journey from application through to enrolment.
  • Ensure applications are assessed fairly, consistently and efficiently against approved entry requirements and admissions criteria.
  • Maintain robust oversight of admissions decisions, applicant documentation, interviews and assessments.
  • Ensure recruitment or commercial considerations do not compromise academic standards or admissions integrity.
  • Regularly review admissions policies, processes, procedures and systems to ensure they remain effective and fit for purpose.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
