Job Description

Your role: Head of Agency

The Head of Agency, Outdoor is responsible for leading and managing the outdoor specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of specialist relationships and the management of the Specialist Agency Managers. This role is a key management position, and you will work closely with the Group Agency Director, Group Agency Manager, and Group Trading Manager to deliver sustainable revenue growth across Independent Agencies and their Outdoor Specialists.

As a Head of Agency at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-performing, fully integrated team
  • Successfully plan and implement a strategy to drive overall revenue growth for your specialist group; this can and will include specific product stream targets
  • Understand the key challenges and issues your customers face and ensure that your team are helping to provide solutions to these challenges to ensure we are perceived as a key partner
  • Lead your team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day business – this will include forecasting for your business and working closely with the key trading heads / CAD to ensure the delivery of weekly targets
  • Deliver on the client segmentation process and lead on significant individual client pitches
  • Develop influential relationships across your specialist customer group
  • Ensuring you resolve or escalate any client servicing issues to ensure we deliver the best in class service

What Success Looks Like

  • Implement and support the newly formed specialist team on Indies with clear roles and responsibilities
  • Leading regular surgeries across the specialists, to ensure these stakeholders are consistently engaged and kept abreast of new opportunities in Outdoor
  • Understand and deliver on the outdoor product mix by understanding the end-to-end briefing and booking process at your specialist
  • Work with the team to deliver key measures of success, as identified in business planning for the remainder of the financial year
  • Support your team in the transition and ensure a supportive and open culture
  • Work with the wider department to help implement a training plan to build product knowledge for specialist teams
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the Group Trading and Group Agency Managers
  • Support the CAD and GAD in delivering new department processes (i.e., key internal meetings, management of revenue targets, and development of an OKR-led culture)
  • Be involved and champion key system integration products and adoption of new processes across the teams
  • Help to motivate the teams and drive strategic thought to deliver key outdoor growth in priority areas such as LFD

What You’ll Need

  • Knowledge of all Global outdoor inventory both traditional and digital
  • Proven ability in successfully managing sales teams
  • Thorough understanding of the key challenges we face commercially and how we may overcome these
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for building a rewarding team environment to work in
  • Able to recruit and retain high-performing individuals
