Job Description
The role sits within a specific Technology Domain, in this instance Retail, Sports and Trading, and is responsible for driving the planning and implementation of all delivery workstreams within the portfolio, whether that be a project, programme or incremental product/technology improvement.
Role Overview
The Head of Agile Delivery Portfolio will establish and maintain delivery standards and procedures, striving to create a best-in-class delivery engine. Throughout the lifecycle of all deliverables they will obtain, analyse and act on measurable data to ensure that delivery efforts meet expectations for time, cost, performance, capacity, capability, innovation and predictability.
They are the heart of the delivery engine, building a culture that fosters positivity and collaboration, constantly advocating for why and how delivery portfolio management adds significant value to the organization.
Critical to this role is the essential collaboration with the Head of Product and Head of Engineering, together with whom they are jointly accountable for ensuring successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- All colleagues within the portfolio and wider have visibility and insight of the roadmap
- Governance cycles are robust and complimentary to other portfolios and leadership reviews
- Portfolio level risks, issues and dependencies are proactively managed to ensure predictability.
- Instill in the team the purpose, value and remit of the delivery team
- Demonstrate the values and culture of the organisation
- Build and maintain trust, respect and rapport with stakeholders.
- Improve the skills, knowledge and competencies of the team and yourself.
- Ensure you have industry best practice knowledge to enhance maturity of practices and processes.
- Ensure that all workstreams within the portfolio supports and contributes to Evokes strategic goals and priorities. Challenging the status quo and side of desk activities to ensure alignments to the roadmap.
- Maintain an overall view of the roadmap activities, regardless of whether all workstreams are lead within.
- Commitment to creating the Leadership Square of Delivery, Engineering, Product and Commercial, ensuring a transparent, productive and successful working relationship.
- Capacity is actively known and understood, allowing necessary insight, recommendations and risks to support prioritisation and decision making.
- Create a lean approach to delivery, reducing overheads and unnecessary processes wherever possible.

Requirements
We are committed to responsible gambling, and we are looking for people who can support our ethos. To apply to this post, you will have:
- Experience of building high-performing teams and agile ways of working beyond individual squads.
- Experience of connecting product, technology and business strategy to delivery outcomes, managing priorities, dependencies, risks and investment.
- Knowledge and experience of communicating with executive & senior stakeholders, create alignment, manage expectations and handle difficult trade-offs.
- Experience of improving delivery flow and leadership of organisational change rather than simply implementing agile ceremonies.
- Ability to utilise meaningful metrics such as flow, predictability, value and outcomes to make decisions, while providing appropriate governance without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
