Head of AI
We’re looking for a Head of AI to take technical ownership of the AI capability at the heart of our enhanced due diligence platform.
Over the last two years, we’ve built an AI-powered platform from the ground up, taken it into production and are now working with paying customers. We’re entering the next stage of our growth.
This is not a role focused on AI strategy decks or isolated proof of concepts.
It’s a hands on technical leadership role working on real AI systems, solving complex problems, running in production and directly influencing the quality of the product our customers use.
You’ll work closely with our CTO, Head of Engineering, Head of Delivery and senior engineering team, with significant ownership over our AI architecture and technical direction.
What you’ll be working on:
- Production LLM systems and workflows
- Matching and entity resolution
- Search, retrieval and information extraction
- Agentic AI workflows
- AI evaluation, benchmarking and regression testing
- Accuracy, precision/recall and false-positive reduction
- Model selection and experimentation
- AI observability, reliability and performance
- Data and retrieval architecture
- AI infrastructure, scalability, latency and cost
- Building new AI capabilities into our EDD platform

A major part of the role will also be helping us evolve how we build AI. We want AI development to be measurable and rigorous. That means building strong evaluation frameworks, representative datasets, automated regression testing and clear quality metrics so that we can objectively understand whether changes make our systems better.
You’ll also help shape our longer term AI strategy where we build proprietary capability, where we leverage frontier models and third party platforms, and where AI can create meaningful competitive advantage for the business.
As we grow, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead our AI engineering capability.
Who we’re looking for:
You’re an experienced AI/ML engineer or technical AI leader who has built real production systems. You’re still highly technical and enjoy getting close to the engineering, but you’re ready to take broader ownership of architecture, technical direction and eventually a team.

You’ll ideally have experience across several of:
- Python
- LLM applications
- Machine learning / NLP
- RAG and information retrieval
- Entity resolution / matching
- Embeddings and vector search
- Agentic systems
- AI evaluation
- Cloud-based AI architecture
- Production software engineering
Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone with strong engineering judgement, high standards and a genuine sense of ownership.
Someone who cares about building AI that is reliable, measurable and useful not simply using AI because it’s interesting.
