Head of AI Engineering

📍 Mainly remote, 2 days a month onsite in London
đź’¸ Up to ÂŁ140k + Bonus & Benefits

This is a newly created Head of AI Engineering opportunity within a growing Data & AI practice, where you’ll take ownership of an existing team of 9 AI Engineers and help shape how enterprise-scale AI solutions are engineered and delivered.

Rather than building a team from scratch, you’ll inherit an established capability and have the autonomy to define the engineering standards, culture, technical direction and operating model that will support its next stage of growth.

The opportunity

You’ll sit alongside senior leadership and work closely with the Practice CTO, taking ownership of the AI Engineering function across:

  • Leading, developing and growing a team of 9 AI Engineers
  • Defining engineering standards, best practices and ways of working
  • Providing technical leadership across complex AI and GenAI engagements
  • Shaping approaches across AI Engineering, MLOps, LLMOps, DevSecOps and cloud-native delivery
  • Supporting major bids, proposals and pre-sales activity
  • Working directly with senior clients to shape AI solutions and solve complex challenges
  • Providing technical governance and delivery assurance across enterprise programmes
  • Helping shape the wider AI proposition, innovation agenda and go-to-market strategy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
