Head of AI Solutions
UK-wide | Hybrid/Remote | Up to £100,000
Nigel Frank is hiring on behalf of a growing Microsoft consultancy looking for a senior AI leader to oversee its customer-facing AI solutions capability.
This is a broad leadership position spanning pre-sales, solution architecture and delivery. You’ll lead and develop a specialist AI pre-sales team, shape enterprise AI opportunities and ensure that proposed solutions are commercially viable, technically credible and positioned for successful delivery.
It would suit an experienced AI solutions, pre-sales or consulting leader who can bring together commercial, technical and delivery teams while remaining credible in senior customer conversations.
The role:
- Lead, coach and develop a specialist AI pre-sales team
- Coordinate technical resources across AI opportunities and customer engagements
- Provide senior oversight across pre-sales, solution architecture and delivery
- Partner with Sales Executives on pipeline, customer strategy and commercial opportunities
- Lead and support executive-level customer conversations, discovery workshops and proposals
- Shape and assure AI solution approaches, identifying risks, assumptions and constraints early
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex or strategically important AI opportunities
- Work closely with Solution Architects and Delivery leaders to validate feasibility and ensure effective handovers
- Oversee demonstrations, proof-of-concept activity and reusable pre-sales assets
- Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching and capability development
- Develop the consultancy’s AI propositions, solution standards and pre-sales processes
- Contribute to thought leadership, marketing activity and Microsoft partner engagement
- Provide technical insight into pipeline and forecast discussions

What we’re looking for:
- Leadership experience within an AI, Microsoft technology, solution consulting or technical pre-sales environment
- Experience managing, coaching or developing pre-sales specialists, consultants or solution professionals
- A strong background in enterprise solution shaping and customer-facing technology consulting
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI and Power Platform
- Experience working across Sales, Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture and Delivery teams
- A track record of supporting complex commercial opportunities and contributing to revenue growth
- Experience leading discovery, demonstrations, proposals and proof-of-concept engagements
- The ability to balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, commercial value and delivery risk
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The credibility to provide technical direction without needing to be the principal hands-on developer
- A collaborative leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring capabilities

This is a UK-wide opportunity offering a salary of up to £100,000. Some travel will be required for customer meetings, internal collaboration and Microsoft partner activity.
