Total Annual Package: Up to AED 858,000 (tax-free) total annual cash compensation (Base salary of up to AED 65,000/month + monthly performance bonus of up to 10% of base)
Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site) with relocation assistance and visa support
Growth path from here is VP, AI Transformation & Business Operations → Chief Operating Officer (COO). What takes 4-5 years elsewhere happens in 1-2 here.
We've been AI-first since December 2023: A dedicated AI team already builds internal systems for production, and daily multi-turn AI conversations are part of how decisions are pressure-tested. You'll have a foundation to build on from day one.
Role Overview
Puffy, a market-leading, nine-figure D2C brand and Top 5 US mattress brand with over $1Billion in sales, is hiring a Head of AI Transformation and Business Operations to lead the integration of AI into how the business operates, owning the AI transformation portfolio, its priorities, workflow redesign, delivery capacity within agreed budgets, and adoption across functions, reporting directly to the CEO. This role exists to improve quality, speed, capacity, and commercial performance across the business, building the reusable workflows, local ownership, and operating systems that let AI improvements run and scale without depending on the CEO or central specialists.
The Problems You'll Own:
Primary: Turn AI capability into better business performance: Puffy already has a dedicated AI team building internal systems. Your challenge is to identify the highest-value opportunities across the business, simplify the underlying work, and deliver improvements whose value holds up after review, rework, and running costs.
Secondary: Make improvements work independently of you: Successful implementations need clear ownership, sustained adoption, and reliable operation. Equip teams to identify opportunities, use and adapt proven workflows, and resolve routine issues without depending on you or a central specialist for every request.

You will have the rare opportunity to take on a broad scope of work with unmatched autonomy.
- Your scope: a company-wide AI improvement portfolio, direction of a dedicated AI team and specialist delivery capacity, sponsorship to redesign workflows across functions, and a direct line to the CEO with no layers in between. Very few Heads of AI Transformation get all four at once.
- Your first 12 months: build the company-wide AI improvement portfolio across marketing, customer experience, retail, finance, recruiting, operations and delivery. Personally prototype and deploy workflows using AI workspaces, agents, skills, connectors, and automation. Establish credible baselines that count review, rework, software and maintenance costs. Demonstrate accepted improvements in multiple functions by day 60, with at least one approach reused beyond its original team. Show sustained adoption and verified net benefits under functional owners by day 90. Build automated monitoring, KPI views, exception routing, and recovery workflows. Test the advances likely to matter over the next 12–24 months and turn the evidence into deployment and investment decisions. You set the priorities, build the solutions, and own the verified impact. You'll build and own the company-wide AI improvement portfolio, prioritizing by value, feasibility, effort, and potential for reuse. You'll decide when to configure, buy, or commission custom engineering, and direct the AI team and specialist resources against one prioritized backlog within agreed budgets. The standard is impact that holds up after review, rework, and running costs, measured against credible baselines and separating capacity released from cash savings. You report directly to the CEO, with his sponsorship to redesign workflows across functions and resolve competing priorities.

In most companies, AI transformation leaders run pilots, publish a strategy, and spend the next year explaining why adoption stalled. Here you build it. When the CEO decides where the next AI investment goes, your verified baselines are the input to that decision, not a report on it afterwards. You'll leave with a company-wide AI operating model you designed end to end, and the proof that its benefits held after review, rework, and running costs, which is the part almost nobody in this function can actually show. Puffy has been AI-First since December 2023, so you'll build it with an AI-native toolbox behind you rather than a stalled pilot backlog in front of you.
What You'll Need
- 8+ years in business operations, business systems, product operations, or transformation, with experience leading cross-functional change and delivering measurable business results.
- AI-enabled workflows you personally originated and deployed across at least two business functions. You can explain the baseline, your contribution, sustained adoption, verified results, and who operates each solution today.
- Strong practical proficiency with LLMs, agents, integrations, and automation. You can build and demonstrate a working prototype, assess its limitations, and guide production delivery.
- Commercial and systems judgment across workflow simplification, prioritization, data quality, evaluation, and implementation economics. You can distinguish a promising demonstration from a dependable operating improvement.
- Leadership that secures adoption, develops team capability, and establishes ownership. You can challenge senior stakeholders constructively and make progress without becoming the permanent coordinator.
- A record of adapting your approach as technology improves. You choose tools on evidence and business fit, and can explain when conventional automation or a simpler process is sufficient.

Good-to-Have
- Experience in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, digital, or another fast-moving operating environment.
- Familiarity with APIs, SQL, task-management systems, BI, and automation platforms. Demonstrated delivery matters more than a particular certification or tool brand.

💰 Compensation:
- Up to AED 65,000/month (tax-free) + monthly performance bonus of up to 10% of base
