Head of Amazon Advertising
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Amazon Advertising to lead our global Amazon advertising strategy across the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australia.
This player-coach role is ideal for someone with deep Amazon Ads expertise who can combine strategic leadership with hands-on performance oversight.
You’ll develop a scalable global operating model, drive profitable growth and ensure advertising activity aligns with retail fundamentals, including availability, pricing, content, promotions and product selection.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the global Amazon advertising strategy and playbook
- Lead full-funnel activity across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and DSP
- Set multi-market budgets, performance targets and spend controls
- Manage performance against ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CVR, CPC and share of voice
- Build global keyword strategies and market-specific localisation rules
- Lead advertising plans for product launches, Prime Day, Black Friday and seasonal campaigns
- Manage weekly budget pacing and monthly forecasting
- Develop trusted, actionable reporting for finance and senior leadership
- Optimise campaign structures, targeting, bidding, placements and testing
- Partner with Amazon Vendor Services and Amazon Ads Managers
- Manage agencies against clear scopes, service levels and commercial outcomes
- Collaborate with Finance, Brand, Content, Supply Chain and Product teams

What we’re looking for
- 5–8+ years’ experience in Amazon advertising or retail media
- Proven experience managing advertising across multiple international markets
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display
- Working knowledge of Amazon DSP is advantageous
- Strong commercial understanding of ACOS, TACOS, margin impact and portfolio trade-offs
- Experience building scalable playbooks, reporting systems and testing frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience with Vendor Central and/or Seller Central is desirable
- Experience managing agencies alongside internal teams
- Strong understanding of international expansion and localisation
