I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

🌟Who you are:

  • An energetic coach & leader: You have proven experience in sales management, coaching, or account management (ideally within mortgage brokerage, estate agency, or legal tech environments).
  • A master motivator: You know how to engage busy operational teams, using empathy, coaching, and fun incentives to drive conversion.
  • A collaborative problem solver: You enjoy bringing people along with you, combining customer insight and data to continuously improve user journeys within a regulated environment.
  • A strong partner manager: You build trust easily and know how to manage high-value external corporate relationships.
  • Thrive on ambiguity: We move fast at Tembo and we don’t always have all the answers upfront, so being able to create clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments is key.

Ultimately, we want to build the best product and service that helps our customers save time, money and stress when buying their first home, and you’ll help steer us in the right direction.
