Chronos Energy is recruiting for a Head of Asset Value Management for our client, a leading UK energy business with a growing portfolio of heat network assets. The business develops, operates and optimises complex heating and cooling infrastructure, delivering reliable and efficient energy solutions while maximising long-term asset performance and value.

The Head of Asset Value Management will lead the commercial and operational performance of the company’s heat network asset portfolio. The role will provide strategic insight and assurance across asset value, revenue, billing and operational efficiency, while working closely with Finance, commercial and regional teams to drive performance and support senior decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead asset value, commercial performance and investment support across the heat network portfolio.
  • Develop performance, governance and reporting frameworks to improve asset value and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee metering, billing, customer data and revenue assurance activities.
  • Lead asset data, analytics and IT transformation initiatives.
  • Provide commercial insight, challenge and decision support to regional teams and senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margins and asset performance.
  • Lead and develop the Asset Value Management team.
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, IT and external partners.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure or a similar asset-intensive environment.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong commercial understanding of asset performance, revenue, margins and operational risk.
  • Experience within heat networks/district heating or a related engineering environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into commercial insight.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving organisational change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
